Pastor Appreciation Month:感谢牧师
９月底从广播电台中听到说１０月是PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH。 我心里一直在想我怎样表达我的APPRECIATION？烤蛋糕，我的水平太臭。送花，好像师母会比较喜欢。但是有好些事，我真地很感激牧师的教导。
记得我家刚搬到这里不久，我的先生把他自己关起来，不见任何人。牧师一次又一次地给他打电话。打电话不接，就直接敲门去找他。被拒决是很难受。更何况是一次又一次地被拒决呢？我真的很感激牧师为我的先生所付出的。
两年前，牧师送我一句话：＂人所行的若蒙 耶和华 喜悦、 耶和华 也使他的仇敌与他和好。＂箴言１６：７ 这句经文帮助我看见原来我做事，说话的方式，心态都需要改进。
有一次祷告会时，我说到自己不知道如何从积极的观点去看待，鼓励我的先生。几天后，牧师给我几页纸，上面列出一条条建议，是有关帮助改善夫妻关系的， 牧师建议我去做在我的先生身上。我尝试了一陈，没有收到反应。牧师又建议我一天或一周做一件事，比如表扬，赞美。过去多年一直是负面情绪的积累，如今要开口赞美，这可真是我当学的功课。感谢牧师的提醒。
上个月我家大女儿闹情绪，一周有四天天天发大火，给她TIME OUT，她就扔东西。我希望她有爱心对弟弟妹妹，她就对弟弟妹妹越没爱心。我被她搞得很累，又很为她担心。牧师师母抽出时间来看望我们，师母教我如何劝导女儿。牧师去关心EVAN，教他做作业。事后我照师母教的，花时间和女儿相处，给她我的注意力，也给奖励制度，慢慢她就有改进了。感谢牧师师母的教导。

Car accident
９月３０日： 大姐走了有１０ 天了, 开始觉得有些累。我最近睡眠不好，总像是半梦半醒。喜喜和凡凡夜里常起来小便，却又还不能独立地做好这件事，我也需要跟着起来。早晨弄早饭，监督他们吃完，洗漱完毕，赶上校车。再收拾自己，赶去上班。今早开车门时，匆匆忙忙中，车门撞了下巴。再 匆忙开车出去，忘了静心祷告。开车时，很想看看下巴有没有出现一个大胞。一看，车就撞到路边，把一户人家的邮箱撞倒了。我意识到自己做错了：没有祷告，不该开车时查伤疤。幸运的是，邮箱是塑料的，没有被撞破，车也没有 被刮破。我把邮箱捡到路边。路上空无一人。我心想该如何处理，是就这样置之不理呢，还是去跟主人家道歉？因为没带手机，我决定先去办工室请假，再回来道歉。
经过这么一撞，我心里害怕，有些不敢开车回。但是不开车，我就无法在８：３０赶到办公室。到车上，我祷告求神原谅我，求神让这件事可以和和睦睦地解决，求神赐我勇气，精力 开车。当我从停车场出来时，看到STATE 和MARSTELLER 街口，有一辆卡车撞倒了一个骑自行车的人。我马上意识到我是多么幸运，只撞了个塑料邮箱，而不是个铁桶，行人或墙。我请了假，准备了笔和POST－IT－NOTE，回到被我撞倒的邮箱的人家。按了很久的门铃，女主人出来了，解释了缘由，说明了愿意承担赔偿损坏（塑料棍内的木头断了，邮箱下的花被我压坏了）。我留了电话和地址。她说谢谢我来认错，她请她丈夫重新装好就好了，很可能不会联系我的。感谢神，让事情这么简单的解决了。道谦后，我心里也踏实了。现在我开车前再晚也要先静下心祷告，求神赐平安，也让自己安静集中心思开车。

９月２７ 日：下午祷告会时牧师问我最近怎样，建良怎样。 牧师建议我主动给他寄申请材料过去。如果神的旨意是要他回来， 那么我就不要阻拦神的旨意. 如果他签不过来，则是令外一回事。 建良也没有可以埋怨我的理由。我仔细一想，觉得牧师说的很有道理。于是决定照办。感谢神赐智慧，保守我现在做的决定不至于给将来带来祸端。

美丽的大自然: 夕阳SUNSET
周六傍晚带孩子们去LINDBERG 路上骑自行车，路过高尔夫球场，见宽广的球场内空无一人，我们就进去享受了一番。场内小路起起伏伏，是孩子们骑自行车最好玩的地方。骑了一会，我们坐下来看风景。绿油油的草地一望无际。但是觉得太奢侈，只有少数人可以享受得起。我们只是来看风景而已，它是开放的。
不一会，天暗下来了。西边出现了美丽的夕阳。无与抡比。SPECTACULAR。更美的是，上帝赐给我们的美丽的大自然是人人都可以享受的。
Visit Chicago
We found a very nice place to visit in Chicago: the 31th street beach. We parked across the bridge near an elementary school for free. The kids played in the sand. My sister and I enjoyed the lake view and the view of the Chicago's skyscrapers.
Indiana Dunes National Park
The Sand Dunes at the Indiana Dunes National Park gave the kids hours and hours of sand-playing fun. (September 19, 2009)

虽然生活中困难重重，压力也很大，借着 常常向神祷告和读圣经，我有许许多多的喜乐和平安 让我安然地过每一天，并且可以帮助身在苦难中的朋友们。又逢大姐在这里帮我３个月， 我很开心。

6/24/2009: we moved into a house 告别公寓，搬入新家
We moved into a house on June 24, 2009. 孩子们终于在自家的院子里玩了。

Amazing thing happened on June 24, 2009.
My family lived in Village Manor apartment for two years. It was close to Cumberland Elementary school for the kids and close to grocery stores and parks and playgrounds. The rent is also cheap. I paid $735 for rent plus $90 to $100 electricity bill monthly for a three-bedroom spacious apartment with no water or gas or trash bills. But there is no backyard for the kids to play. And Joy disliked the neighbors very much because they smoke and left cigarette buds and dog poo everywhere. The neighbors also hold wild parties in the middle of the night. So we decided to move. And by June 5, we finally found a house that we can at least agree on. But our apartment lease ends on June 25 and we need to move out of the apartment before 9:00 am on June 26. 20 days really is not enough for getting a mortgage loan. Somehow a very efficient mortgage loan agent was willing to help us try to get the loan as fast as possible. On June 23, we heard that the loan should be ok but needs a few more working days to process and finalize. So the original closing date June 24 needs to be extended, which made the seller very angry.
On the morning of June 24, I gather the kids and my nephew and we prayed in front of my sister (who claims to be a Buddhist) to ask God to help us and bless us and to let my sister see that when we pray sincerely, amazing things will happen. We prayed that we could move into the new place on June 25. In the afternoon of June 24, we heard that we can do closing of house purchase on June 30. I was thankful for the quick process of the loan, although it would be better if the closing can be done on June 25,so we could move in the new place directly. Closing on June 30 puts us in a difficult situation, which means that we need to find a place to stay for four days, and we need to move everything twice. We could extend the apartment contract for one more month. But paying $735 for four days’ stay is not very realistic for my budget if I also have to pay for the new place in a few days. Two Motel rooms for four night are around $500 and too expensive for me as well because we have 5 people in the family plus my sister and my nephew who are visiting and helping us. $200 to $300 would be a reasonable price I am willing to pay to stay for the next four days, I talked to myself as I tried to figure out which way is more economical. In the evening of June 24, I called the mortgage loan broker to see if I can pay to expedite the loan application process but was told no. Without me asking for help, a sister offered us to stay in her house. Another family offered their entire house for us to stay while they are on vacation. Two sisters came to help me packing and many brothers and friend came to help us move. The realtor offered a storage space in her office building for us to store everything. So by 7:00PM on June 24, we have a workable plan with somewhat inconvenience on our family and the family who is offering us a place to stay. Around 10:00PM, when I was sending the packing helpers home, I received a phone call from the realtor telling me that the seller was willing to let me move in to the house starting June 25 with $50 rent for each day before the closing day. 10 minutes later, the realtor called me again and informed me that we could move in the very night on June 24 if we want to. I was overjoyed. I knew the Lord is answering my prayer. Now the kids have a place to sleep and eat and play while we are busy packing, moving and cleaning. And we will have a place to cook. The daily rent is within my budget.
In Psalm 28: 6-7, it says: “ Blessed be the LORD, Because He has heard the voice of my supplication. The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him.”
I truly experienced the help I needed from the LORD during my moving. The God who governs the whole universe cares for me, listens to my prayer, and answers my prayer. He is my provider. He is my God and my Lord.

During Spring Break (March 2009), we took a trip to Missouri (CWC Camp) while Evan stayed with Aiai's family and Joy stayed with Gao Ping's family. Dr. Xie's messages were very inspiring. But I was not very humble. I ended up quarrelling with Jin during the last night's stay in Missouri. Dongju experienced God's amazing providence for a family room.
